WILKIE SK RCMP REPORTS for January 23 to 29

RCMP received a report of a house fire. Members discovered it was a controlled burn.

Members received a report of an animal on the highway near Landis, Saskatchewan. The animal was deceased and in the ditch. No police action required.

Police spoke to an individual regarding child custody.

RCMP received a complaint of an individual on a residence property but it was unsubstantiated.

Members attended the sudden death of an 82-year-old Wilkie male. The death was not suspicious in nature.

Police conducted a well-being check at the request of a friend.

Members assisted Yorkton RCMP in attempting to locate an individual. It was discovered the individual no longer lives in the Wilkie area.

There was also one traffic complaint.

WILKIE SK RCMP REPORTS for January 16 to 22, 2018

Members spoke with an individual regarding a child custody agreement.

RCMP received a report of an abandoned vehicle. Members contacted the registered owner who agreed to move the vehicle.

Members acted as mediators in a family disagreement on two separate occasions this week.

A 36-year-old female from Landis, Saskatchewan, was charged with assault with a weapon after members received a complaint of assault with a weapon.

There was also one false alarm.

RCMP were called to a single vehicle collision near Landis, Saskatchewan. There were no injuries.

Police received a report of an abandoned burnt vehicle in a rural area near Wilkie.  The vehicle was discovered to be stolen from the Maidstone area.

Members received a complaint of an individual going through the contents of a vehicle. This matter is still under investigation.

Police received a report of a hit-and-run causing damage to a vehicle. This matter is still under investigation.

Members spoke to an individual regarding a child custody order.

RCMP received a report of an intoxicated male at a residence. Members located the subject of complaint at his own residence. No charges were laid.

Police are investigating a break-and-enter at a rural residence near Wilkie.

Members received a complaint of trespassing. This matter is still under investigation.

RCMP received a complaint of fail to comply with an undertaking but it was unfounded.

Members spoke to an individual regarding a child custody agreement.

Police received a complaint of an unwanted item left on a residence doorstep. There are no suspects at this time.

There was a complaint of an individual damaging a vehicle. There are no suspects at this time.

RCMP received a complaint of breach of peace. Members arrested two individuals to lodge in cells in North Battleford until sober.  No charges were laid.

RCMP received a complaint of youth throwing ice at a residence. Members located the subjects of complaint and issued verbal warnings.

Police attended a single vehicle collision on Highway 14 near Wilkie, Saskatchewan. The driver sustained minor injuries. No charges were laid.  The collision was due to very icy road conditions.

Members attended a two-vehicle collision in Wilkie. There were no injuries.  One vehicle driver was issued a traffic ticket.

There was a complaint of harassment. Members spoke with the complainant.

Police received a report of a suspicious vehicle parked near a business. Members attended but the vehicle was gone on arrival.

Member issued a 60-day driving suspension and a three-day vehicle impoundment during a traffic stop.
